About usThe restaurant is located along route E55 approximately 15 km from Benesov in the direction of Tábor. When you follow the sign with a picture of a cook and the name of the restaurant "U Michala", and then turn and drive along a small road, you get to the restaurant after a 100-metre drive. The front-room inn (35 seats), the back-room lounge bar (45 seats) and the gallery are open throughout the year. The lounge bar serves also as a dining room, where the guests get the same service and meals as in the inn, in case when they arrive, for example, together with their family and children.
The lounge bar is usually used for various festive occasions, weddings, graduations, company parties or other celebrations. There is a separate entry to the gallery, as well as separate restrooms, a cloakroom and a small stage. An audio system is installed in the entire building, the microphone and a hi-fi system is installed at the stage. In summer there is a small garden open at the backyard, a sandpit and swings for children and a small lodge with an open-fire grill for roasting meat. 
We serve a rich variety of foods, including both traditional Czech cuisine and many local and international specialities. Concerning the quality of the food - find out for yourself. We have Pilsner and Staropramen beer on tap and exquisite Moravian late-harvest wines from the Kobylí region as well as high-quality archive wines. In the gallery we exhibit paintings by the famous and popular artist Jiri Michalek. This painter has also decorated all rooms. There are also several sculptures in the gallery by Karel Pesl and some canvasses by painter Zdenek Petr.
